SUBSTANCE: method involves the following steps: memorisation of a fixed port of the corresponding virtual local area network in accordance with the data packet received by the Ethernet bridge device, preserving conformity between the virtual local area network and the memorised fixed port; transmission of the data packet by the Ethernet bridge device in accordance with the preserved conformity between each virtual local area network and its fixed ports. The size of the MAC address table of the Ethernet bridge device must exclusively meet requirements for storage of MAC addresses of its local users. That way, shared access network requirements for the size of the MAC address table of the Ethernet bridge device can be reduced.
EFFECT: possibility of transmitting data packets in a shared access network based on point-to-point connection models.
