FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nonwoven filtration materials. Proposed fibrous structure for fluids or gases represents a mix of aluminium oxide nano-fibers and second fibers arranged in matrix to produce asymmetric pores with mean size of 5 to 48 mcm wherein fine, superfine or nano-size particles, like powder activated coal, are bound without using binders. Said fibrous structure containing powder activated coal entraps impurities from fluid or gas flows. This invention covers also the method of producing and using said fibrous structure.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of entrapping ultrafine particles from fluid and gas phases.
