FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and can be used for determining indications for early surgical treatment of posterior aggressive retinopathy in prematurely born babies in case of its progressing after retina laser coagulation. Retinoscopy with computer morphometry of retina and its vessels and optic coherent tomography (OCT) are carried out, clinical presentation of eye grounds is estimated, ratio of avascular retina area to its total area (Sa/t), diametre of main arteries and veins, coefficient of artery tortuosity (TC), thickness of retina in macular region are determined, and if the following clinical presentation takes place: sharp growth of extraretinal proliferation mainly from nasal side in form of prominent horseshoe-shaped bank, open opposite macular region, with formation of traction retina separation; expressed exudation in vitreous body; retina in macular region and on extreme periphery on whole circumference adjoins, together with morphometry data: Sa/t=0.74±0.05, artery diametre = 110.75+2.50 mcm, veins = 156.50±3.25 mcm, TC=1.45±0.03, retina thickness in macular region - up to 215±4 mcm, carrying out vitrectomy as early surgical treatment of posterior aggressive retinopathy of prematurely born babies is considered indicated.
EFFECT: method allows to determine presence of clear indications to early surgical treatment of posterior aggressive NR, based on characteristics of clinical presentation of eye grounds together with objective morphometric parametres of retina and its vessels, exactly determining terms of carrying out treatment, which ensures complete adjoining of retina, presence of stable visual fixation, absence of clinical signs of disease activity.
