METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF REGRESSION OF STAGE II AND III RETINOPATHY OF PREMATURITY FOLLOWING LASER COAGULATION OF RETINA Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61F9/08 A61B3/12

Abstract RU 2532497 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for the prediction of regression of stage II and III retinopathy of prematurity following laser coagulation of the retina. That is ensured by measuring diameters of the retinal arteries and veins on the periphery in close proximity to the avascular region along temporal and nasal arcades. The measurements are taken before and 1 week after the laser coagulation of the avascular coagulation of the avascular region of the retina. If observing a reduction in the diameter by 10 mcm and more, the regression of stage II and III retinopathy of prematurity following the laser coagulation of the retina is predicted.

EFFECT: method enables the reliable determination of early manifestations of the regression of retinopathy in the given category of patients.
