FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to oil industry and can be used in oil treating processes. The method involves degassing with one compression pump of two gas equalising collectors, including a tank collector and a collector of the terminal separation units (TSU). Degassing of the TSU collector is continuous, while degassing of the tank collector is periodical. The compression pump maintains gas pressure in the TSU collector not to exceed tank "breath-out" relief cracking pressure. If pressure in the tank collector is increased to pressure in the TSU collector, degassing of the tank collector follows, while decreasing gas pressure to the value specified in the standard regulations requires automatic disconnection of the tank collector and the TSU collector. If pressure in the tank collector is decreased to tank "breath-in" relief cracking value, gas bypass from a delivery gas pipeline in the tank collector.
EFFECT: reduced capital expenditures and operating costs due to simultaneous gas vent from the tanks and TSU by one compression pump, and improved quality of oil treating in the TSU ensured by more effective oil degassing due to pressure decrease in the TSU.
