FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: chucking mechanism is intended for workpieces of covers with coaxial cylindrical holes made at the bottom or plates with possibility of rotation or turn, and includes clamping element, drive stock controlled with mechanical drive on the end of which there fixed is clamping element, housing with a groove on its operating edge respectively for location of workpiece and the stop of clamping element.
EFFECT: for increasing the efficiency the clamping element is made in the form of elastic spherical plate with a flange formed with a concentric tray and divided with radial slots into a row of sectors and intended for attachment of workpiece along cylindrical hole by means of deformation of clamping element with axial movement of the stock.
