SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair of items, in particular to restoration of worn and emergency beds of split shells of sliding bearings. Method for restoration of worn and emergency beds in split shells of bearings includes boring worn and emergency beds in split shells of bearings, manufacturing of steel semi-rings for compensation of beds bore value relative to their rated diametre and installation of specified semi-rings into bored beds of bearings for standard inserts. Steel semi-rings are manufactured as shorter than standard inserts of bearings by 0.2…0.3 mm, and they are installed into bored beds of split shells of bearings without fixation.
EFFECT: invention provides for the possibility to use minimum simple-to-use, compact and cheap equipment and minimised expenses on labour and materials.
