FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer composition which contains a nylon plasticiser and is particularly used for lining tyres and in insulating films or layers, as well as in hosepipes. The composition contains: (A) 50-80 wt % of at least one halogenated isobutylene-containing elastomer; and (B) 20-50 wt % of at least one nylon resin with melting point approximately between 170°C and 260°C; and (C) 0.5-10 wt % plasticiser which contains polyamide, with weight-average molecular weight of 20000 Da or less; where: (1) at least one of the said elastomers is present as a dispersed phase of fine vulcanised particles in the dispersion phase of the said nylon; and (2) the said elastomer particles are obtained through dynamic vulcanisation.
EFFECT: improved mixture and dispersion of rubber with retention of high level of impermeability and strength.
