FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used railway transport to reduce side wear of rail tracks, wheel flanges of wagons and locomotives, as well as protective agents for rolling assemblies of wheeled and tracked vehicles and for other purposes. The grease contains liquid glass (A) which undergoes preliminary chemical modification with potassium silicofluoride (B) and polyvinyl acetate (C) in ratio A:B:C between 92:4:4 and 52:22:26 by mixing in a reactor with 200 rpm for 10-40 minutes at room temperature. The grease contains the following in pts. wt: oil refining product 10-70, modified liquid glass 5-35, fatty acid and alkali metal soap 5-20, antiwear additive - molybdenum-containing solid salt 0.5-2.5, filler 3-25.
EFFECT: improved antifriction properties under heavy loads and high adhesion to metal.
