FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: radial seal is used for Wankel engine including a cam made on the axis of bell crank. Drive is arranged in rotor housing. In rotor there made are slots in which sealing elements are arranged with possibility of being moved in radial direction. During rotation of the engine shaft, the cam presses the sealing element by means of drive to the sealed surface - epitrochoid of engine. Chain - cam, drive, sealing element and sealed surface are made without gaps and are in constant contact. Drive consists of pusher and equal-arm lever. Cam moves the axis of equal-arm lever by means of the pusher, which presses two sealing elements with its ends before and after the top of rotor to the sealed surface.
EFFECT: improving reliability of the seal and simplifying the design.
