FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for making Pneumocystis carinii pneumocyst antigen for diagnostic test systems for lifetime pneumocystosis diagnostics involves intranasal infection of animals with pneumocysts with using an immunosuppressive agent for immunosuppression. As an immunosuppressive agent, Cyclophosphane is administered in a single dose 20 mg per 1 kg of weight. Intranasal infection is ensured by pneumocyst suspension in concentration 104 in 1 ml.

EFFECT: method allows for higher yield of pneumocysts and antigen respectively, and the test systems developed on the basis of said pneumocyst antigen detect specific early IgM, diagnostic IgG antibodies, and also antigens, the presence or absence of which reflects the clinical course in full.
