FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to processing parts under pressure and can be implemented at production of items out of cylinder work-pieces, mainly out of alloys of non-ferrous metals. A preliminary heated cylinder work-piece is scalped and further deformed in a matrix of preliminary heated die. The work-piece is heated in a cartridge having a through axial opening with internal circular cutting edge. For scalping the cartridge with a preliminary heated work-piece is positioned under the die concentric to it and the work-piece is lifted. During lifting an oxide layer is removed off the work-piece with cutting edge of the cartridge; the work-piece with a removed oxide layer is positioned in the matrix of the die. A device consisting of a die in form of a puncheon secured on a movable traverse beam and of a matrix is used for thixo-stamping. The matrix is pressed into a container located on the fixed traverse beam. A pusher is installed under the fixed traverse beam. The cartridge with a cylinder work-piece is arranged coaxially to the pusher on the stop. The puncheon has an axial boring for a plug inserted in an axial opening of the cartridge.
