FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to processing parts under pressure and can be implemented at production of items out of cylinder work-pieces, mainly out of alloys of aluminium metals. The cylinder work-piece is enclosed into a shell with upper and lower end flanges, the latter made with an opening, and heated. When specified temperature is obtained, the assembly is transferred into a punch and upset in the shell with a puncheon. The punch consists of an upper half and lower half with a cavity for deforming. Further, an oxidised surface layer of the upset working piece is removed by means of piercing it with the puncheon through an opening on the lower end flange into the cavity of the lower half of the punch. Also material of the removed oxidised layer is left on internal surface of the shell. The work-piece is deformed when the upper half of the punch goes down.
EFFECT: upgraded quality of produced items.
