FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to out-of-furnace treatment of metallurgical melt with powder-like reagents. The disclosed here wire is designed for steel micro-alloying and can be implemented at production of high technology powder wire with a filler on base of ferroniobium. The filler of powder wire contains 63-67 wt % of powder-like niobium and a combination of additional components, such as tantalum, silicon, aluminium, titanium, carbon, sulphur, phosphorus and iron. Also contents of additional components in the filler are wt % correspondingly: tantalum - not over 1.0, silicon - not over 1.5, aluminium - not over 3.0, titanium - not over 1.0, carbon - not over 0.1, sulphur - not over 0.03, phosphorus - not over 0.10, iron - the rest.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of dosage of required amount of ferroniobium, reduced rejects of alloyed steel by chemical composition, accurate niobium percent contents maintained in specified limits, and reduced non-uniformity of alloyed steel composition.
