FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: test model is mounted on guides with possibility of displacement under the effect of excess off-nominal loading using a streamlined strut and collar plates which grip the guides with a force which is given and measured using torquing bolts. A fixed position of the model on guides is provided the initial position and under nominal loads. The displacement speed of the model on the guides is also controlled using a double-chamber pneumatic hydraulic cylinder by varying gas pressure and throttling through a valve whose flow section is varied.
EFFECT: prevention of possible destruction of models and damage to suspenders and measuring equipment by excess loads when launching the aerodynamic tunnel or installations.
