SUBSTANCE: protection element has at least one information element and a transparent layer with variable optical properties placed on the information element. The information element is made from a series of layers which has a coloured background printed layer and an engraved printing layer placed on the background printed layer. The engraved printing layer has a thin structure which has differently aligned parallel lines whose outline form a first information element and also has at least one gap whose outline forms a second information element different from the first.
EFFECT: higher counterfeit protection.
