Abstract RU 2419551 C2

FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a protective element, a method of its manufacturing, a data carrier having such a protective element, and also to application of such a protective element or a data carrier for products protection. The protective element comprises a transparent base material, having the first periodical or almost periodical printed pattern of dots or lines on the first side, and on the second side, being substantially its mirror reflection, the second periodical or almost periodical printed pattern of dots or lines. The second printed pattern contains at least one subregion, where dots or lines are arranged with displacement relative to dots or lines of remaining second printed pattern of dots or lines. The first printed pattern of dots or lines is combined with a relief pattern, arranged by method of metallographic printing. At the same time the specified first printed pattern of dots or lines interacts with the second printed pattern of dots or lines so that at least one subregion comprises an element of information perceived when viewed in a passing light and indicating authenticity of a protective element.

EFFECT: proposed protective element provides for higher extent of protection against counterfeit, authenticity of which is at the same time easy to verify.
