SUBSTANCE: method is suggested for changing configuration of radio communication channel used between terminal and network. Network executes the following steps: initiation of new configuration, which is related to previous configuration of this terminal, informing this terminal in order to use new configuration, and identification of when the terminal uses the second configuration on the basis of radio signal received from the terminal. Terminal executes the following steps: receiving information in order to use new configuration, sending radio signal indicating change in configuration to network, and changing from old configuration to new configuration at a certain time after radio signal transfer.
EFFECT: possibility to synchronise making changes into configurations in telecommunication system.
