SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a contrast composition in the form of an aqueous solution for magnetic-resonance and X-ray diagnostics containing gadolinium oxide (Cd2O3), diethylene triaminopentaacetic acid (DTPA), medical polymer - polyvinylpyrrolidone of molar mass (12000±5000) Da in amount 0.5-5 wt % and pH 5.0-8.5.

EFFECT: invention provides preparation of the composition with the lower content of free gadolinium ensured by DTPA/Cd2O3 concentrations related as 2,035-2,10 that exceeds the stoichiometric ratio.
