FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contrast agents for magnetic resonance diagnostics, namely to a contrast composition for magnetic resonance imaging and angiography, containing a chelate complex of manganese (II) with trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid (Mn-DCTA) in concentration of 0.5 mol/l and an auxiliary medical polymer in an aqueous solution. As an auxiliary medical polymer, composition contains 4 % succinylated gelatin with an average molecular weight of 23,200 Da, wherein the concentration ratio of the chelate complex and the medical polymer is 1:1, and the pH value of composition is 7.1–7.7.

EFFECT: disclosed composition enables increasing the contrast ability with lower renal clearance and enhancing the contrast properties in contrast angiography.
