FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology. Silicon ore and carbon-bearing rocks or materials containing at least 25 wt % carbon and having dispersion of 1.2-0.15 mm-1 are fed into a heat chamber while maintaining temperature not lower than 900°C. Thermal treatment is carried out in vertical descending stream of material at temperature of 1400-2100 °C at flow velocity of 0.2-4 m/h in the medium of an ascending stream of inert gas and/or active gas at pressure of 0.1-120 kPa. The end product is cooled in the lower zone of the heat chamber.
EFFECT: design of efficient technology of producing material.
