FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to facilities for isolating internal space during operation and repair of production string. The packer consists of a hollow shaft, packing component, cone, upper stop, hollow branch, ferrule, oval sockets, guiding pin, position holder of packing component, and of spring retaining ring in internal circular groove of cone. A closed shaped slot in form of lengthwise short and long sections connected with a shaped section is made on external surface of the shaft. When the guiding pin travels in the slot up and down at a length exceeding length from an upper edge of the shaped slot to the bottom of the long lengthwise section, the ferrule stays in a transport position, at shorter length the ferrule comes into an operational position. The position holder of the packing element is made as a sleeve with external grooves to interact with a spring ring. On top the hollow branch can be equipped with a plug pressure tight sealing its cavity.

EFFECT: simple design of packer facilitating oscillations during its lowering at freezes-in and also reliable and pressure tight packer seating with low efforts.
