FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: pump unit 10 comprises housing 14 accommodating pressure chamber 18 with inlet 20 and outlet 22, and at least one movable element 24 that reciprocates in pressure chamber between first and second positions. When said movable element moves from first to second position, flow resistance from first movable element via inlet exceeds that of flow between pump unit housing and first movable element. When said first movable element moves from second to first position, flow resistance from first movable element via outlet let is smaller than that of flow between pump unit housing and first movable element. Thus, in reciprocation of said first movable element between first and second positions via outlet, net flow originates. Note here that first movable element 24 shuts off said outlet in first position.
EFFECT: higher reliability, no need in use of auxiliary substances.
