FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: facility consists of coupling used for positioning around ends of two pipes and equipped with device for decreasing its diametre with tightening tool. Inside the coupling there is located a packing ring in form of a tape self-tied with a loop and having two ends engaged into contact during tightening. At least one part of enveloped/enveloping shape of enveloped/enveloping set has contact ends formed on contact strips. Strips decline in a direction facilitating penetration of the part with an enveloped shape into the part with an enveloping shape, while the part with the enveloped shape engages the part with the enveloping shape under force of tightening.
EFFECT: increased reliability of pipe connection.
