FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to couplings for connection of structural pipes, which contain segments surrounding central space receiving pipes. Teeth on inner surface of segments protrude in direction of central space and form deformation zones in pipe at engagement with external surfaces of pipes. Ends of pipes thrust against one or more lugs on inner surface, and inspection holes in segments allow visual control of pipes fit. Relief recesses on inner surfaces receive pipe sections deformed in outward direction. Plug-in element may be present in central space. Plug-in element defines space between each other and internal surfaces of segments, in which pipes are inserted. Plug-in element has relief channels including deformed pipe areas corresponding to deformation zones.
EFFECT: invention improves coaxial connection of structural pipes by means of mechanical connection, which does not require welding.
