FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: grenade consists of two cylindrical shells fitted one onto another. Payload is attached to inner shell. Outer shell rear end has taper with minimum diametre equal to barrel OD, while its maximum diametre equal inner shell OD. Outer shell is fitted on inner shell with interference fit, varying in length and decreasing with pressure variation when powder gases expand. Inner shell accommodate piston, its one side receives chamber with powder charge and primer screwed therein, its other side has taper recess with its minimum diametre equal to barrel OD and maximum diametre equal to inner shell ID. Barrel outer shell is furnished with helical grooves and outer hell rear end has mating ledges.
EFFECT: possibility for forced avalanching and rescue operations, use of high-power powder charge, higher accuracy of fire.
