FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises mounting lens diaphragm with photo receiver in focal plate and measuring photo receiver output signal. First, rated photo receiver signals and their tolerable departures are set and lens diaphragm with photo receiver is moved over the entire data field of lens diaphragm. Then levels of signals from photo receiver and amount of motion of lens diaphragm with photo receiver in said data field, as well as the sight operating hours are measured. Measured signals and their ratings are compared to decide on sight serviceability. Proposed system comprises lens with diaphragm arranged in leans focal plane, photo receiver connected with measuring unit, comparator and device to set ratings of signals from photo receiver with its output connected with second input of comparator, mechanism to drive diaphragm with photo receiver secured on the latter and diaphragm travel measurement transducer with its mechanical input connected with diaphragm drive and its output connected with second parametre measurement unit. Note here that output of parameters measurement unit is connected with third input of comparator.

EFFECT: higher validity of estimating sight parametres, reduced wear in checks.
