FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: artillery fuse comprises reaction striker with point, inertial striker with fuse-igniter, primary safety cartridge, primary safety spring, upper limit ball, lower stop balls, membrane and safety cap. Additional safety cartridge with locking lugs and lower limit flange as well as additional safety spring are arranged between primary safety cartridge and inertial striker. Note here that distance h_d from lower face of additional safety cartridge to bottom of primary bore in inertial striker are described by relationship h_d=(0.15…0.35)h, where h is distance from lower face of additional safety cartridge to bottom of primary bore in inertial striker, while inertial striker has recess to receive additional spring, recess depth making L=(0.1…0.2)H_str, where H_str is inertial striker depth. Note also that depth of primary bore in inertial striker is increased by the thickness of limit flange.

EFFECT: higher safety of fuse.
