PROCEDURE FOR EVALUATING EFFICIENCY OF LUBRICATING MATERIALS FOR SHEET STAMPING Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G01N19/02

Abstract RU 2397475 C1

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: procedure for evaluating efficiency of lubricating materials for sheet stamping consists in production of sheet work-piece of rectangular shape, of application of lubricating material on both sides, and in clamping ensuring travel of edges of sheet work-piece in clamp during drawing. Also the central part of the work-piece is drawn in one plane in the direction perpendicular to plane of the sheet work-piece. There is plotted a graph of dependence of deformation pressure from depth of puncheons penetration. There is determined maximal hold-down pressure for each process lubricating material, when deformation pressure build-up, corresponding to deformation of drawing along length of the work-piece, is absent. Efficiency of lubricating material is judged by efficiency of hold down pressure: the higher hold down pressure results in higher efficiency of lubricating material.

EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of determination of efficiency of process lubricating materials at sheet stamping due to reduced influence of mechanical properties of metal during stamping.
