FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has a measurement plate with a hole at the centre, as well as an extra plate over the measurement plate and parallel with it. The distance between the plates is inversely proportional to the intensity of an alternating field created by an infrasound generator connected to the extra plate. An electrostatic flux metre is fit into the hole in the measurement plate with possibility of rotation. The circuit of the device also includes a signal amplifier, a unit for a phase difference measuring device, a unit for the trigonometric cotangent function of phase difference, a scaling amplifier and a recording unit. The signal amplifier is connected to the measurement plate and to the first input of the unit of the phase difference measuring device. The second input of the unit of the phase difference measuring device is connected to the electrostatic flux metre. The output of the nit of the phase difference measuring device is connected to the input of the unit for the trigonometric cotangent function of phase difference whose output is connected to the input of the scaling amplifier. The output of the scaling amplifier is connected to the input of the recording unit.
EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy due to generation of signals with vertical aero-electric current density and alternating aero-electric field intensity, exclusion of the effect of stream non-laminarity between plates and noise of the electrostatic flux metre.
