FIELD: meteorology, physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to meteorology, particularly, to atmospheric electricity and can be used in aero physical, geophysical, electrochemical, meteorological, biological and other studies. In compliance with proposed method, aero electric field intensity and vertical aero electric current density are recorded in step at preset altitude above Earth surface and with preset time resolution. Signals recorded in aero electric field intensity and vertical aero electric current density are isolated with periods corresponding to stationary state of atmosphere. Determined is the circular frequency of isolated signals and appropriate phase difference of signals recorded in vertical aero electric current density relative to signals recorded in aero electric field intensity. Now, atmosphere electric conductivity is computed using the data obtained.
EFFECT: higher accuracy.
