SUBSTANCE: in washing machine of drum type rotary drum of cylindrical shape with bottom is installed in washing tank so that direction of rotary shaft is set as horizontal or inclined down from open front side to back side in lower part. Control device actuates electric motor for fast rotation of rotary drum at alternating speed, so that laundry sticks to inner periphery of rotary drum under action of centrifugal force. Laundry lifts from the lowest position of rotary drum in position 0°, to position of less than 180°, passing through position 90°. Rotation of electric motor quickly slows down at alternating speed, so that laundry separates from inner periphery of rotary drum and drops on side opposite to lifting side in rotary drum. Control device performs a set of operations in mode of direct and reverse rotary motion by means of another repetition of direct and reverse motion.

EFFECT: washing effect is improved as a result of less intense twisting and tangling of laundry by means of drum rotation control.
