FIELD: textile industry.

SUBSTANCE: washing machine of drum type comprises unit of washing tank, shock-absorber to elastically support the tank in support position and vibration sensor. Tank unit includes washing tank, drum installed in tank and electric motor fixed on lower part of tank and connected to lower part of drum to provide for drum rotation. Support position and centre of tank unit gravity are displaced towards electric motor from diametral plane, which passes through tank centre and is perpendicular to axis of rotation. Support position is located further from electric motor along horizontal position compared to centre of gravity. Vibration sensor generates the first signal and the second signal, which correspond to component of tank part vibration along the first direction and component of vibration along the second direction, which is perpendicular to the first direction. Tank part is located between diametral plane of tank and its charging hole. Control device identifies on the basis of the first signal and the second signal generated by vibration sensor whether or not linen in rotary drum has the first unbalance, when linen is displaced from diametral plane in direction of drum charging hole, and whether linen has or hasn't back unbalance in rotary drum, when linen is displaced from diametral plane in direction of lower drum part.

EFFECT: washing machine makes it possible to register linen unbalance, even when linen is displaced in drum in direction of its lower part.
