METHOD OF ELIMINATING RESIDUAL CAVITY AFTER ECHINOCOCCECTOMY FROM LUNG Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to thoracic surgery and can be used in treatment of hydatid disease of lung. Essence of method lies in opening parasitic cyst, removal of its contents, elimination of residual cavity by bringing closer walls of fibrous capsule, located in lung tissue or in interlobar sulcus in root zone by compressing and flattening of irremovable part of fibrous capsule with plasma stream in "coagulation" mode, elimination of residual cavity being carried out in "closing book" way. Elimination of residual cavity in "closing book" way is carried out by tightening one row of lock-stitch suture, applied on walls of residual cavity in projection of its greatest diametre and draining by means of terminal drainage with sealing by means of edge blanket atraumatic absorbable suture.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention allows to simplify operation, reduce its traumaticity, prevent intra- and post-operation complications, ensure possibility of performing organ-preserving operations with open echinococcectomy.
