FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in forging ingots and billets made from various steels and alloys at hydraulic forging presses. Proposed device comprises two holders of top and bottom hammers and holders of lateral hammers. Top and bottom hammer holders have inclined surfaces matching up to those of lateral hammer holders. Hammer holders are articulated by eight guides. Four hammers are jointed to their appropriate holders. Top and bottom holder lateral surfaces have ledges with holes. Axis of said holes are located in planes parallel to frontal planes of the hammers. Guides are secured on said ledges by pins, studs or bolts that pass through the holes in ledges and guides.
EFFECT: longer life of guides.
