FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ductal bile is sampled and inoculated on selective nutrient mediums. Further, pure cultures of pathogenic and/or opportunistic microorganisms are recovered, and their count and blood serum resistance are evaluated. If a microbial content index of pathogenic and/or opportunistic microorganisms exceeds 106 colony-forming units per one millilitre, and/or a blood serum resistance index of pathogenic and/or opportunistic microorganisms exceeds 90%, the postoperative pyoinflammatory complications development in patients with purulent cholangitis is predicted.
EFFECT: use of the method allows for more precise prediction of the postoperative pyoinflammatory complications development in patients with purulent cholangitis, and for wider indications for the use of said method due to extended range of agents of purulent cholangitis.
