FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: rabbits are infected by subcutaneous injection of a suspension of P. aeruginosa and S. aureus bacteria isolated from patients with pyoinflammatory processes at a concentration of 105 microbial cells in 1 ml. Then, the indices of alkaline phosphatase (AP), alanine transferase (ALT) and urea are determined. At an AP index of 205-591 u/L and ALT index of 53-63 u/L on day 1-2 after infection, brain damage and death of animals in 2-4 days are predicted as 29-38%. At an AP index of 485-652 u/L and ALT index of 36-38 u/L and ALT index of 36-38 u/L development of purulent-septic on day 4-5, infection and death of animals on day 9-11 are predicted as 69-84%. With a urea concentration index of 1.3-1.9 u/L on day 4-5 of the disease, E. coli translocation with the development of a purulent-septic infection and the death of animals on day 7-8 of the disease is predicted in 54-66% of cases.
EFFECT: does not require large material costs and allows to improve methods of intensive therapy aimed at preventing lethality in purulent-septic infections in an animal experiment.
