SYSTEM OF ELECTROLYTE MIXING IN LEAD ACCUMULATOR Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC H01M2/38 H01M10/12

Abstract RU 2399120 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: according to invention, system of electrolyte mixing includes the following components, vertically arranged on various levels, submerged into electrolyte, made of acid-resistant material - tube for supply of compressed air (internal tube) and tube for passage of electrolyte bottom up (external tube), lower end of which does not reach bottom of accumulator, at the same time there are two external tubes installed at end surfaces of accumulator electrode unit, every of tubes is fixed between electrode and separator with the help of fixators made of perforated acid-resistant polymer material; - cross section of external tubes represents eights with semi-circles of various radius; - couplings made of polymer material are placed on top of external tubes, besides, polymer material is represented by thermoplastic elastometre with relative extension of 150-650% and Shore hardness of 35-90; - internal tubes are inserted into external tubes through couplings and are fixed parallel to external tubes in semi-circles of smaller radius; - in lower part of accumulator ends of external tubes are over the edges of separators; - value of distance between lower end of external and internal tube meets the following condition: 0.21÷≤h≤0.51, where h - distance between lower ends of external and internal tubes, l - length of external tube; - through coupling external tubes are connected to tubes for drain of electrolyte arranged horizontally over level of electrolyte and directed in opposite directions beyond the limits of electrodes unit into corners of accumulator tank; - upper ends of internal tubes are connected to nozzle, through which air is supplied from source of compressed air.

EFFECT: increased service life of lead accumulator.
