SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the design and production of lead starter batteries for military equipment. Technical result is achieved by the fact that in a lead battery containing a block of negative electrodes wrapped in envelope separators, additional separators are installed on the supporting prisms between the ribs on the outer side of which in the form of a three-dimensional frame made of synthetic acid-resistant material formed by a wavy lattice surface with cells made in in the form of squares, the cores of which are cylindrical.
EFFECT: technical result is aimed at solving the problem of reducing the intensity of melting of the discharge layer of the positive electrodes of the battery, improving diffusion processes and circulation of the electrolyte in the near-electrode space of the battery, preventing damage to the integrity of the separator-envelope at the points of contact with the support prisms, and short circuits between opposite electrodes of the battery as a result of the accumulation of melted active mass positive electrodes in the interelectrode space, and, as a result, ensuring the operability and specified electrical characteristics of the battery during operation, increasing its service life.
