FIELD: medicine, fire fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is a general fire fighting appliance and can be used both for suppression of local seats of fire, and for floor space and cubic content fire extinguishing. A unit is designed for fire protection both in packed areas (warehouses, shops, parking bays, shopping centres, power engineering facilities) of machine height up to 16 m, and in relatively long-stage objects (cabling, tunnels). The unit comprises a body with a chemical powder, a gas generator gas-dynamically connected through a truncated cone with an aerator equipped with apertures with opening elements. An element determining the gas powder flow is a nose cone with a self-shearing membrane pressed by a sleeve nut with a washer and connected to a hollow cylinder. The unit body is provided with seat members interacting with plate apertures fastened to an arm support.
EFFECT: unit allows for more effective fire fighting, enhancement and operational convenience, wider range of application, minimised the residual weight of chemical powder regardless of the unit spatial arrangement, prevented shadow zone formation with potential fire sources in a protected space and improved design reliability and portability.
