FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment intended for chemical, food, construction and other industries, namely to whirl grinders. Proposed grinder consists of fixed cylindrical grinding chamber with nozzle oriented along chord of the chamber inner surface cross section and communicated with inlet branch pipe. Loading device is arranged on top cover of cylindrical grinding chamber. Outlet hole with discharge branch pipe for ground material and power carrier is arranged at a distance from the nozzle along whirl flow rotation. Rotor is arranged inside said grinding chamber to revolve therein. Optimum clearance between grinding chamber inner surface and rotor cylindrical surface makes 3 to 5 maximum grain sizes of material being ground. Widening radial grooves are made on grinding chamber inner surface and rotor cylindrical surface. Shaft runs in bearing assembly and is coupled with the drive.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality.
