FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method for obtaining middle distillate and low molecular weight olefins, which involves catalytic cracking of gasoil raw material in the area of lift-reactor in conditions suitable for obtaining middle distillate at the contact of the above gasoil raw material with selective cracking catalyst which contains amorphous silicon dioxide-aluminium oxide and zeolite so that gasoil cracking product is obtained, which contains middle distillate and spent cracking catalyst; regeneration of the above spent cracking catalyst so that regenerated cracking catalyst is obtained; contact in the zone of reactor with dense catalyst layer in very severe conditions suitable for cracking of petroleum raw material at least with some part of the above regenerated cracking catalyst without addition of spent cracking catalyst so that petroleum raw material cracking product is obtained, which contains light olefins and used regenerated cracking catalyst; and use of the mixture of the above regenerated cracking catalyst and the above used regenerated cracking catalyst as the above selective catalyst in order to obtain middle distillate.
