FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: light-emitting diode illuminator is joined to a standard housing cap made in form of a four-sided cup which is placed inside a protective optically transparent cover through air can move in and out. The faces of the cup are sections of light-emitting diodes in which each light-emitting diode is connected in parallel to a Zener diode and a mains choke and a power supply which consists of a converter and a transformer are placed inside the cup. In the lower and upper parts of the housing there are holes which ensure efficient cooling of the light-emitting diodes and other components of the device owing to air draft in the cup due to air heating up inside the cup.
EFFECT: more reliable operation of the illuminator, uniform and quality illumination of the territory around the illuminator.
