FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of measuring density is realised by determining mass of the control substance and putting said substance into a measurement vessel, reducing its volume and measuring pressure change. Pressure change is measured in the measurement vessel before and after putting the control substance into the measurement vessel while changing the volume of the measurement vessel by a given value in proportion to the mass of the substance. Density of the substance is determined from the ratio of pressure changes.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of density of granular substances and solid bodies of different shapes, and efficient control owing to use of a single measurement process.
