FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: method to measure density by determination of mass of a controlled substance and its placement into a measurement reservoir, reduction of its volume and measurement of pressure change consists into measurement of pressure changes in a measurement reservoir before and after placement of the controlled substance into it with variation of the volume of the measurement reservoir by the specified value is proportionate to the substance mass. Additionally they change the volume of the closed measurement reservoir by the fixed value without the controlled material, pressure change is measured. Then they determine the ratio of the produced change of pressure to the pressure change before and after placement of the controlled material into the measurement reservoir, and by difference of these ratios they decide on density of substances.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of density measurement, provision of efficient control due to usage of a single measurement process.
