SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular - to fruit and grapes growing. The method involves laying offsets in a cavity filled with a moisture-retaining material for their rootage. On the soil surface a container is installed. Through the slits in the container butt end wall an offset is laid on horizontal bars and the container cavity is filled with a moisture-retaining material. The offset having taken root is separated from the parent bush on the container butt-end wall outside. The offset is transported to the planting or storage location and kept inside the container. The device is represented by a container having side and butt-end walls. Between the container side walls there are horizontal bars arranged while in the butt-end wall there is a vertical slit whose base is at the horizontal bars level.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables reduction of sapling growth labour intensity, preserve the root system and improve planting material quality.
