FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at usage in meat industry for manufacture of true-to-shape and prescribed size meat portions. One, two or more frozen pieces of meat of any shape (their total weight corresponding to that of the required portions) are shaped with the help of a stamp in the pressmould groove into a meat block with a linked structure. The pressmould groove bounding surface corresponds to the outward configurations of meat portions. The frozen meat block is divided into meat portions.
