FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for usage in meat industry in particular for portioned semi-finished products production. One carves (such as by way of sawing) an individual naturally shaped piece of meat (frozen or non-frozen and unconnected to other pieces of meat) into two, three or more portions, equal in terms of weight and/or having a specified weight. Each portion is cut down to the desired weight and, preferably, to produce the desired semi-finished product, then it is placed, in frozen condition, into a press-form and pressed in it to impart the end shape to the product.
EFFECT: method ensures production of meat portions of roundish shape equal in terms of shape and weight.
