SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to surgery, and can be used in surgical management of suppurative inflammation of pilonidal cyst in a gluteal fold. Purulent fistulas and infiltrates are excised en bloc by two arciform skin incisions along the gluteal fold to determine a inflammatory tissue interface. Hemostasis is carried out. Skin edges including a sacral fascia are anchored with monofilament atraumatic non-absorbable synthetic ligatures. Each stitch is performed by sequential laying of a needle on the skin edge and subcutaneous fat of one wall of an excision cavity with the ligature needle appeared in the cavity of the sacral fascia and the opposite wall. The ligature ends of two adjoining stitches are knotted in pairs to bring down the skin edges and subcutaneous fat to the middle of the cavity bottom and pressed to the sacral fascia to form an open canal along the excision cavity for exudate outflow.

EFFECT: method allows reducing risk of recurrence, accelerating wound healing.
