FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used for treatment of chronic prostatitis. For this purpose at the background of intake of medications acoustic therapy of prostate with weak-focused shock-wave acoustic pulses is carried out. Amplitude of pressure is within the range 5-90 bar with pulse duration not longer than 2 mcs. Size of focal area of focusing does not exceed 50 mm, depth of shock wave penetration being 150 mm.
EFFECT: method allows to increase treatment efficiency due to quick and expressed pain-killing effect, improvement of urination parametres and increase of blood flow rate, reduction of expressivity of fibrous-sclerotic changes in prostate tissue.
